Robb Melenyk

Robb moved to Colorado in 2006, in search of a new job. His wife, Kelli, joined him a few months later and found a popular swing venue in Colorado Springs where they resided. Robb had decided that with the move, he would branch out and try new things. He joined his wife at Swing In The Springs and quickly learned that he was not a very good dancer. In frustration, he decided to try something different and bold: Argentine Tango. After several months of lessons, Robb decided he wasn't very good at Tango. So he tried Ballroom. Robb wasn't too good at that either. He even tried West Coast which also turned out to be to frustrating. After some long discussions with his wife, he decided maybe Lindy Hop would be fun. It had the complexity of Tango to Robb, but that nice rhythm of Swing which he really enjoyed.

Robb went to Lindy Diversion in October of 2007 not knowing a thing about Lindy. That weekend completely changed him and his views on dance. The talent, the style and the music all compelled him to drop his premonitions of Swing and dance in general and simply focus on Lindy. Robb attended all workshops in Denver, all lessons he could from Focus on the Lindy and of course worked with his wife Kelli. Several years later, he's still going strong, attending workshops, exchanges and altogether constantly improving his dancing.
